In Loving Memory of “Uncle Kelly” Martinez

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden and tragic loss of our beloved uncle, Kelly Martinez, known to everyone in the city of San Gabriel as “Uncle Kelly.” Kelly passed away after being struck by a car on the night of December 13,2026 in San Gabriel.

Uncle Kelly was truly the heart of the city. If you grew up in or around San Gabriel, you knew him—or at the very least, you knew a story about him. He had a way of bringing people together, making them laugh, and turning everyday moments into unforgettable memories. His personality was larger than life, and his sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met. There are countless funny, crazy, and heartfelt stories about Uncle Kelly that will continue to be shared for generations.

Kelly was born on October 8, 1962, and throughout his life he touched so many people with his kindness, familiarity, and genuine spirit. He was more than a family member—he was family to the entire community.

He leaves behind his older brothers, Darryl and Frank, his sister Corrina, his beloved daughter, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved him deeply.
