Some of you may know Wendy Musonda Chikwekwe-Lupiya, who was married to the late Ken Lupiya and how she lost two of her children and a young sister, in an auto accident in Zambia, barely 7 months after Ken died from cancer in December 1998. Only two out of four of her children survived, Cindy Mambwe Lupiya and Tracy Milumbe Lupiya. Tracy, who at the time of the accident on July 4th, 1999, was four years old, suffered a traumatic brain injury. Wendy moved to the USA after this tragic and unfortunate event with her two girls, in the same year, 1999.
Tracy who turned 28 years this year was unfortunately found dead in her bedroom this week, Wednesday 18th January 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia. Despite her brain injury and life-long challenges associated with it, she endured many other ordeals in her brief life on earth: She was hit by a car in 2017, survived three auto wrecks but Tracy soldiered on, was able to keep a job and overcame all other odds. No wonder she described herself as "a cat with nine lives." What a fighter and an overcomer!
This initiative is from friends of Tracy and her mother, as we feel compelled to support them in yet another family tragedy, as a gesture of love to them. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
