Celebrating Tommy

It is with deep sorrow we mourn the loss and celebrate the life of our beloved, stalwart daytime concierge, Thomas “Tommy” Chavanne.

Tommy was more than a just person who held the door, he was a pillar of the Addison Hall community, greeting everyone with cheer, and usually shared a clever anecdote or genuinely delightful story. He always made sure we got our mail or packages, called our homes with glee to announce we had food or another delivery, held the door for us, loaded our cabs, watched our dogs, and did a million other things we appreciated.

He knew every pet in the building and every person by name. Tommy was our beacon of optimism that we could plug into whenever we needed. He never let a moment pass without wishing us a good day or reminding us that “all was clear on the western front”. Tommy was charming, caring, hilarious, tender, and above all, boldly himself. He will be missed and remembered every time we walk through our doors of our special building.

Thank you Tommy for your light, and for sharing your love of people and life with us. We are honored to have known you and will cherish your memory.

All money raised will go directly to Tommy’s wife, Lisa, and surviving family and loved ones.
