It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved father, Vang Seng Yang.
Vang Seng Yang was born with very little and grew up without the presence of a mother or father. He lived much of his early life as an orphan, learning to survive on his own from a very young age. Because of this, he carried a deep understanding of hardship and loneliness. It shaped one of the greatest desires of his life: to have a large family, so that his children would never have to walk through life without love, support, and family by their side.
Through perseverance and sacrifice, he raised a family of eleven children. He spent most of his working life as an assembly line worker at Northern Engraving, faithfully showing up day after day to provide for his family. He worked most of his life earning minimum wage, living paycheck to paycheck, yet always ensuring there was food on the table. Though he never formally retired, his body eventually could no longer endure the long hours of standing required for work.
In his later years, he faced many health challenges, including kidney failure. Despite his illnesses, he rarely complained. Instead, he focused on what mattered most to him: watching his children grow, start their own families, and build lives of their own. He took immense pride in seeing his children buy homes, raise families, and pursue their dreams. Nothing brought him greater joy than celebrating their accomplishments.
Vang Seng Yang lived a life defined by resilience, humility, and unconditional love. He gave everything he had to his family and asked for very little in return.
The funeral service to honor Vang Seng Yang’s life will be held on February 7, 2026, with burial services taking place on February 9, 2026.
This GoFundMe has been created to help our family with funeral expenses and final arrangements as we honor his life and legacy. Any contribution, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated.
