My name is Danielle, and I lost my step-father unexpectedly on Thursday, December 18th. His name was Terry Vanhook, and he was the most deeply kind and loving man who the world seems so much darker without. It didn't matter if his kids were related to him by blood, he was a wonderful father, brother, friend and a beloved grandfather who is survived by the children, siblings, and grandchildren he would have done anything for. He is survived by the many friends drawn to the warmth of his spirit, and he's gone far too soon. There aren't words enough to describe the hole he's left behind.

I'm opening this fundraiser because he didn't want a funeral, but we, the family, want to hold a celebration of life for him and have a final viewing before we have to say say goodbye. It happened so suddenly and it has been very overwhelming trying to navigate what to do and what his final costs might look like, so any amount will help us navigate through the worst of it as we lay him to rest.
