It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Ruben Dario Cabrera, a devoted family man and one of the hardest-working individuals anyone could ever meet. He departed this life suddenly on December 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering dedication.

Ruben was known for his strong work ethic—never one to shy away from a long day or a difficult task. Whether he was providing for his family, lending a helping hand to a neighbor, or quietly fixing something no one else even noticed was broken, he carried himself with humility and purpose. His commitment to doing things the right way, no matter how big or small, earned the respect of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

But above all, Ruben’s heart belonged to his family. He was a proud father, husband, brother and uncle whose greatest joy came from the moments spent with the people he loved most. His laughter could fill a room, his advice was steady and sincere, and his presence brought comfort and strength. He built a life grounded in loyalty, kindness, and sacrifice—values he passed down through example every single day.

Though his time here was shorter than any of us wished, the impact he made will continue to live on in the lives he touched. We will remember his determination, his gentle humor, his warm spirit, and the way he showed up—time and time again—for those he cared for.

Ruben Dario Cabrera leaves behind his wife, Yaneira Sosa de Cabrera, children, Michael Ruben Cabrera, Rosy Alexandra Cabrera, Amelia Rubi Cabrera, Ryan Ruben Cabrera, mother, Epifania Reyita Pena, sister, Marjorie Hernandez, and brother, Jonathan Javier Cabrera Pena who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. While we grieve his sudden loss, we choose also to honor the remarkable man he was: one defined not by the length of his years, but by the depth of his love and the strength of his character.

A service celebrating his life will be held on December 7, 2025. All who knew him are welcome to join in remembering and honoring a life lived with purpose and heart.
