Honoring Richie Velez,

On the evening of August 10th, 2025, our beloved Richie Velez was tragically and unexpectedly taken from us after being struck by a truck while walking home. Our hearts are shattered as we process this unimaginable loss.

Richie was more than just a brother, a son, and a friend—his presence brightened any room he entered, His charisma, humility, and passion left an impression on those who were lucky to know him. He had dreams that reached far beyond his circumstances, and worked to make those dreams a reality. Whether through the music he created under his own YCN brand or simply through his presence, Richie remained true to himself and the values he held close.

He was a true artist at soul—always creating, always sharing his talent. Richie loved deeply and never hesitated to show it. His love for his family was unconditional.

We, his siblings, are organizing this fundraiser to help cover the funeral expenses, cremation, and memorial services to honor Richie’s life in the way he deserves. Our goal is to raise $5,000, and every dollar will go directly toward giving Richie a dignified and heartfelt farewell.
