Honoring the life of our mom
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the death of our mother and grandmother, Feuy Saephan. While we know that death is inevitable, we were unprepared to lose her so soon. While she has been battling health conditions for some time, her recent bout with COVID complicated things further, and she passed away suddenly, on December 26, 2021. She was a wife to Fou Vern (deceased), a mother to Seng, Torn, Lou, Liew, Casey, Lai, and Fahm, and a grandmother to Michael (deceased), Nathan, Lily, Austin, Kai, Alisa, and Steven. Though no words can convey how precious she was and continues to be to us, these are some of our most cherished memories and qualities we appreciated about her:
• She called every day to check on us, no matter how old we were, to check that we had eaten, to ensure we were safe, and to make sure we knew she cared for us
• If she knew we were out and about at night, she would say, “It’s dark out already. Come home and be safe.”
• Just being my mom, making me laugh, and being so caring for everyone.
• She would always laugh, and not even know why
• Everything about her
• Whenever our mom yelled at us or our uncles picked on us, she would always come to our rescue
• Every time we visited her, she always welcomed us with open arms
• I loved her cooking, especially Ka Soy
• She gave me life and taught me how to do everything: how to cook, read, and walk, she is my hero. She is everybody’s hero.
As you can imagine, the pain and grief we are feeling at losing our matriarch, especially during the holidays, is deep. We are reaching out to you with hope that you can support us with the heavy financial costs of properly honoring our mother and grandmother with a funeral.
We are planning a modest but proper ceremony. Every little bit helps. So you know how your donation will be used, here is a partial list of what we are trying to raise money for:
• burial
• casket
• burial plot
• gravestone
• food for the funeral
• flowers
• memorial
• shamans
Here you will find a link to the fundraiser we have started for the funeral. As you can see our goal is $5,000 and we hope to raise this amount. We know that you have your own financial responsibilities, and deeply appreciate you for even considering to donate and for taking the time to read about our mom/grandmother.
Blessings,
