Harvey Michael “Mike” Lawson of Selma, California, passed away on April 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose strength, kindness, and unwavering love touched everyone who knew him.

Mike shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Linda. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and unwavering support for one another. He was a proud and loving father to his son Bryan and his daughter Arin, and a loving son-in-law, Aaron Walls.

To his grandchildren, Mike was lovingly known as “Papa,” a name that meant everything to him. He cherished each of them deeply: Riley Walls (Cydney); Garrett Lawson (Alyssa); Layne Lawson; Casey Walls (Samantha); Cheyenne Bravo (Jose); and Wyatt Walls. He was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy.

Mike was a man who valued family above all else. He was known for his steady presence, his willingness to lend a hand, and the quiet strength that carried his family through life’s challenges. Beyond his family, he dedicated many years to coaching in Kingsburg, where he made a lasting impact on countless young lives. To this day, if someone saw him on the street, they would still call him “Coach Mike.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Mary-Elizabeth Lawson, and his siblings Lonnie Lawson, Sharon Wood, and Kathy Oliver. He is survived by his sister, Janie Lawson.

Those who knew Mike will remember his warm heart, his resilience, and the way he made others feel supported and cared for. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and family that will never be forgotten.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at church of God in Selma on April 24,2026 @ 11am

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a beloved husband, father, Papa, and friend.
