Honouring the Life of Mike Dineen

On June 14th, we lost Michael Adam Dineen Ozari at the age of 36. Mike was a force of nature: an actor, filmmaker, comedian, and scholar. He was a world traveler, deep thinker, and kind soul who lit up every room he entered.

Mike leaves behind his beloved partner Dan, his family, and a diverse group of friends spanning his many walks of life.

If Mike had a superpower, it was his endless capacity for loving others, for continuing to light each candle he came across. This is a person whose warmth and presence so deeply touched a constellation of people that an uncountable number of human connections across the world have Mike to thank.

We are fundraising to plan a celebration of life worthy of a man who lived boldly, loved deeply, and left us far too soon.

The celebration will include a park memorial featuring the burning of a small effigy, a short parade to Revival Bar, and an indoor gathering where stories, music, memories and performances will be shared. All are welcome to attend.

Remaining funds will be given to his partner Dan to help with the financial hardships that come with such a profound loss.
