A Battle of Strength and Faith

Our beloved Mama Rosan fought a courageous battle with cancer for 17 years, showing unwavering trust in God, remarkable strength, and resilience throughout her journey.

Our beloved Rosan Macalalad Aringo was a loving wife, caring mother, and a woman of great strength and faith. She lived in Noveleta, Cavite, Philippines, and was only 57 years old when she went home to the Lord on September 6, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Mama’s fight began in 2008 when she was first diagnosed with sarcoma cancer. By God’s grace, she survived and continued to live for her family. In 2019, her cancer returned, and she went through colectomy surgery and a colostomy. Later, in 2022, she discovered a lump in her breast. After medical tests, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer that had spread to her lungs, liver, lymph nodes, and bones.

Even through pain and countless hospital visits, Mama never gave up. She showed us what it truly means to live with faith, courage, and resilience. On August 7, 2025 , she was admitted to PGH (Philippine General Hospital) where she stayed for almost a month. Despite treatment and prayers, her condition worsened. On the morning of September 6, 2025, at 7:00 AM, her heart stopped, and she peacefully went home to the Lord.

Mama fought bravely for 17 years, inspiring us all with her strength and unwavering trust in God.

Now, our family wants to honor her with a dignified funeral and burial in the Philippines. Sadly, the medical bills and funeral expenses are more than her children can manage on their own. On top of the funeral costs, Mama also leaves behind a large amount of hospital expenses from her most recent admission and treatments, which has placed an even greater financial burden on the family.

As her niece, I, Rodyn Pasco, I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my cousins, auntie's children, since they are all in the Philippines and I am based in the U.S. All funds raised will be sent directly to her immediate family in Noveleta, Cavite, to cover both the funeral/burial costs and the outstanding hospital bills.
