Celebrating the life of Lauren Fitzsimmons
Donation protected
On February 21, 2023, we lost a shining light in our community. Lauren Fitzsimmons, a talented production designer and member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 IATSE, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of glioblastoma just seven weeks prior to her passing at the young age of 42.
As we mourn her loss, we are reminded of her incredible accomplishments in life, including her contributions to “O Horizon”, “Miguel Wants to Fight”, “Master Class,” “The Mortuary Collection,” and ‘Nightmare Cinema”. Her work as a production designer was nothing short of remarkable. She was represented by the prestigious Gersh Agency and a proud member of the Art Directors Guild. Known for her passion for her craft, her infectious laugh and vibrant red hair, she lit up any room she walked into, both professionally and personally.
In honor of Lauren’s memory, we are helping her partner Andris raise funds that would cover the expenses of a much-deserved memorial to celebrate her life and her contributions to the production world.
Lauren was a true artist, and her work touched the lives of so many people. We hope that you will consider making a donation to help us remember her and celebrate her legacy. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help us to create a memorial that reflects the joy and beauty that Lauren brought into the world.
Thank you for your support, and for honoring the memory of our dear friend Lauren Fitzsimmons.
