Celebrating the Life of Jennifer Ann Liu Wong
Donation protected
This is the story of our beautiful friend, Jennifer Ann Liu Wong. If you were fortunate to have known Jenn, you would know what a beautiful soul she was, inside and out. She was down to earth, full of life, compassionate and carried an aura about her that made you happy to know you had a friend like her.
In early 2019, Jenn had gone to see the doctors because of some pain and discomfort she was feeling to the side of her abdomen. What she initially thought was just something minor ultimately was diagnosed as Leukemia. They immediately started treatment for her to control the situation and the possible "cure" for the disease was to undergo a stem cell transplant. Through the course of the next few months, she successfully received the stem cell transplant at City of Hope and was able to "beat Cancer". However, as a result of the transplant, she started to develop complications from the donor cells. Though she was able to overcome Cancer, she was unable to recover from the domino effects brought on from the complications triggered from the transplant. After bravely battling these complications for over 4 months in the hospital, she can now rest. She passed away peacefully on February 26th surrounded by close family. We could not be more proud of the strength and courage she displayed during the hard fought journey.
After learning about Jenn's story, many have approached to inquire as to how to help contribute in any way possible. As a way to honor Jenn and to allow those that want to help, we've established this account in hopes of raising money for the family who have suggested that a portion of this donation will go to The City of Hope in appreciation for the love and care she received during her months of treatment there.
