On November 9th, 2023... we received the phone call no parent ever wants to receive. We were notified that our daughter, Jaydin, had succumbed to mental illness. She was 18 years old. She fought a hard battle and we never imagined that this would ever come to fruition. As parents, we save for their cars, their college education and wedding. No parent ever sets up a fund to bury their child. We will be travelling to Pennsylvania this next week to celebrate her life and finalize her wishes. We are completely unprepared and are not sure how we are going to make this happen. BUT WE WILL. We are needing help covering the cost of her funeral and travel expenses.

We are asking our dear family, friends and all other humans who have been affected by mental illness, for any help you may be able to give. I IMPLORE everyone reading this to make sure you take ANY call for help seriously. We wouldn't wish this upon anyone else.

Jaydin graduated from McDowell High School in 2023 and had so many dreams and aspirations for her future. She had many passions and talents. Jaydin was a fierce supporter of animals, children and the elderly. She also had many crafting talents and skills. Even throught the tough times of the pandemic, she still kept up with her school work and continued to dream of attending college. As of recently, Jaydin began working towards a career in teaching preschool. She has always wanted to enrich the lives of others. Jaydin has 5 brothers and sisters, including a twin. She was the one all the siblings knew they could turn to. She was one of the hardest fighters we have known. It just happens that this world proved to be too much for her. Now, may she rest in peace. We thank EACH and everyone one of you that is willing to give anything during this time. Please keep my family, and every other family in your thoughts, that have been touched by this devastating epidemic.
