Celebrating the Life of Jade

Jade was a person with a big heart. She cared so much for everyone she loved. She tried to be there for her family and friends and made sure that she did her part.

Our family tragically and suddenly lost Jade on April 28th, and we are setting up this GoFundMe in the hope of receiving help to cover her funeral costs so we can honor her the way she deserves. In this painful and unexpected time, any support means more than words can express and will help ease the financial burden as we say our goodbyes. If we are blessed to surpass our goal, we intend to donate the remaining funds to organizations that support teen mental health, in line with the kind of person she was and the causes she would care about.

She was very generous and always wanted to help people. She especially had a soft spot for those who had less. It warmed her heart to be able to share her blessings with them. Jade was a giving person, and we intend to keep her legacy moving forward through the way these funds are used and the lives they touch.

She was very kind and affectionate, and she made sure she let you know that she appreciated you. She was vocal in expressing her gratitude. Her big tight hugs, "thank yous," and "I love yous" will definitely be missed. Jade deeply valued her family and friends; they meant everything to her. Before she did anything else, she would always ask if anyone needed help. She looked after her Lolo and Lola with so much love and care. She was always ready and willing to step up, and even put herself in harm's way, to protect her family and friends. She was always excited to see her sisters, cousins, and the rest of the family, and she was always happily along for the ride whenever the family made plans. She never had to worry too much about the bill, though. That part had a way of finding Uncle Bryan and Aunty Cel. We will miss her laughter, her presence at family gatherings, and the small everyday moments like her jokes, and her not listening to her uncles because she always rushed into combat when playing Arc Raiders and Call of Duty.

Her friends held a truly special place in her heart. The way she lit up when she talked about them, so happy, excited, and inspired whenever she was about to spend a day with them, was something we always cherished. She would come back and tell us everything they did together, and you could just feel how much those moments meant to her. Her friends also had a quiet but profound impact on how she saw the world. Hearing about their own family experiences made her reflect on how truly blessed she was. And that goodness in her showed up in the little things, too. Like the time she and her friends helped an elderly woman in a wheelchair cross the street. That moment stayed with her, and it was so perfectly, beautifully Jade.

Jade also poured so much love into her dog, Margaux. The way she cared for Margaux, worried about her, and treated her like family showed just how big her heart was. She found joy and comfort in spending time with Margaux, and their bond was a beautiful reflection of Jade's gentle, caring spirit.

There will always be an empty space where she should have been, but we will carry her love, her kindness, and all these memories with Margaux and with us in everything we do.
