Celebrating the Life of Dom Wiktor
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
My friend and colleague, Dominik Wiktor, passed away on 1/13/2020 from pancreatic cancer at the age of 39. He is survived by his wife, Marisa, and his two sweet daughters, Cecylia and Adeline.
Dom was the epitome of what a person, friend, and doctor should be. His energy and attitude were infectious and he cared for his patients as if they were family. He was dedicated to his family, his career, and to his patients.
Dom and I were internal medicine residents at University Hospitals Case Medical Center from 2008-2011. He went on to complete a fellowship in cardiology at Medical College of Wisconsin, and fellowships in adult congenital heart disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Colorado.
Dominik lived with pancreatic cancer for almost 3 years. Despite receiving several courses of chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and enrolling in out-of-state clinical trials, Dom continued to work every week. He battled this condition head-on and continued to be a loving husband, father, and physician. I will never forget Dom's trademark line every time I spoke to him. "This is nothing. Things can be a lot worse."
Dominik passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and friends.
Please consider contributing to this fundraiser to help support Dominik's family through these tough times.
Thank you so much for your support,
George Tannous
