I lost my mom, Diana Conner, recently at the age of 77, and with her went one of the most genuinely kind and generous people I have ever known. Her generosity wasn't quiet—it was immediate, wholehearted, and no questions asked. She had a way of putting others first—her son most of all—and of making everyone around her feel cared for without ever asking for anything in return. She truly would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need.

I am raising funds to give Diana a simple farewell. She will be remembered at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Bakersfield, with a burial at sea at Avila Beach—a well-beloved place full of memories for our family. The costs of the funeral and arrangements are more than I can manage alone, and this support will allow me to honor her memory in a way that reflects her generous spirit and the love she shared with so many.
