Celebrating Tanya's Life

Hi, my name is Tiana and I am looking to fundraise on behalf of my beautiful mother who sadly passed on 17th December after fighting a 9-month battle with metastatic breast cancer. Our family are all devastated but truly believe she is still with us in heart and spirit. She has been brave, strong and passionate throughout her entire life, which is very evident in her passion for her businesses and her family which have meant everything to her. Even through her diagnosis, she was always so brave in every single obstacle that she encountered with radiation on her brain, multiple hospital admissions and fighting all the battles that come with cancer, and she did it with a smile on her face and positivity in her heart. Tanya was and is a true inspiration to a huge community with her passion for boy's dance being projected around the country and even internationally. She has brought a community of people together and as a family, we will ensure that this legacy lives on in whatever capacity we can. She loved her studio and her boys so much and it truly kept her going during her entire life and throughout her battle with cancer. Tanya has been an amazing mum to me, she is truly a special woman who has inspired me to be as strong and as brave as she has been and I will continue to make her proud. We know that the Dance Action and Boys Dance Community will be deeply saddened by this so please take the time that you need to grieve and know that you were all so special and important to her. We also would like to deeply thank everyone for their ongoing love, friendship and support throughout her entire life, she was very much loved by everyone around her and our family have felt this love over the last few weeks. She also had a profound love for the ocean and the beach, which has been reflected in her incredible photos of the waves and the beach.

As a family, we are kindly asking for donations for us to be able to hold a memorial and tribute that she deserves as she did not have life insurance or anything else that we would be able to contribute to this. We plan on having a small memorial for her close family, then a Dance Action/Community tribute where we can all come together and celebrate her life and the amazing person that she is. The tribute will be in late January/early February with a date and time to be announced.

As you can understand, our family are all trying to process our grief, please forgive us if we can't respond to everyone's messages or comments straight away but we will read them and hold them close to our hearts.
