Gone way too soon, Symone Brenae Kimbell was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She graduated from Tuskegee in 2019 with a BSN, RN and accepted her first assignment at Tulane Hospital in New Orleans. Less than a year later, COVID-19 hit the globe, and Symone was on the front lines, caring for patients and facing the challenges of the pandemic head on. She returned to Los Angeles in late 2021 but within six months, something wasn't right. Symone needed a liver transplant, which she bravely underwent in September 2022. For three years, she fought to regain her health and return to normalcy, showing incredible strength and resilience every step of the way.
A little more than a week ago, Symone's liver began to fail again. She made it clear to her loved ones that she did not want to go through another transplant. God had other plans for his angel, and Symone was called home. Her family and friends are heartbroken, but they are determined to let her light shine and celebrate the 29 beautiful years she shared with the world.
Sadly, Symone’s journey ended far too soon. Her family is now facing the difficult task of saying goodbye and honoring her memory. The funds raised will help cover the specific expenses tied to her funeral and burial, and will allow loved ones to gather and celebrate her life, just as she deserves.
We are asking for your support during this incredibly hard time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated. Thank you for helping us honor Symone’s legacy and letting her light continue to shine. Morehouse Brother, LA Kev, his wife Stephanie Kimball and their family.
