Our grandmother Sarun Mao, was the heart of our family - a smart, strong, kind, and heartless woman who always knew how to make us laugh and always feel welcomed and loved. She was the kind of woman who did not even know who you were or cared where you came from but always told you to come and eat. That was her way of welcoming you. Her presence filled our home with warmth and love, and she was always someone you could count on, no matter what.

On April 16th, 2026 at 1:30AM, Yaey was called to come home to Heaven to be at peace. She fought a really long battle of many sicknesses and still remained strong to be here in our lives everyday. Although we knew her time would soon come, we knew that she gave it her all.
We are all devastated and heartbroken that she has passed away, but also very grateful we got to spend every last second with her.

We are now faced with the difficult task of arranging her funeral and memorial services. The costs associated with these arrangements, along with financial burden during this time of grief, have been overwhelming.

We are reaching out to our friends and family for help. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward covering funeral expenses, memorial services, and helping our family navigate this challenging period.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to anyone who has donates or shares our fundraiser-your kindness and generosity mean more than words can express.
