My beloved Rukiya, loving wife and mother of six passed from this world in the wee hours of Thursday, September 10th from metastatic breast cancer. She bravely fought a two-year battle.
Rukiya in life was loving, kind, gentle and nurturing and her loss has profoundly impacted me, her family and friends. She shall always be loved and dearly missed.

Born Jacquelyn Anita Davis to Lillie Mae and George Davis in Augusta, Georgia on February 12th 1953. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Clark College in Atlanta, Georgia and a Master of Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Iowa. A sister of Alpha Kappa Alpha her twin passions were to make music that is uplifting and inspiring and to nourish the children and the family.
