Ricky has gone to be with his Jesus. To know Ricky was to know joy and laughter—he was the life of every party, and if there wasn’t a party, he turned every gathering into one. He gave so much to everyone he met, always bringing light and happiness wherever he went. One year ago, when he was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, it was a shock to us all. We had just lost mom and Emmitt, so this was especially hard for our family. But Ricky never asked, “why me?” and never once complained about the pain he experienced. Instead, he chose to live life to the fullest. He fed the homeless and became a friend to all. His passion was traveling, dancing, and fishing in Grand Isle, Louisiana—his paradise.
Ricky’s final wish was to have his remains poured into the Gulf of Mexico, where his two brothers are. To honor his memory, we are planning a celebration of life party in Grand Isle at the end of April. The funds raised will help cover the costs of the venue, chair rental, food, and a DJ so we can gather, share stories, and celebrate the incredible person Ricky was.
I am asking for small donations to help us fulfill Ricky’s wish and give him the send-off he deserves. Any support is deeply appreciated by our family during this difficult time. Thank you for helping us honor Ricky’s legacy and keep his joyful spirit alive.
