Hi, my name is Eduarda. I’m 11 years old, and I’m in the fifth grade.
We are doing a project at school, and I chose to talk about stopping animal testing.
For my 12th birthday coming up, I’m asking for something a little different! Instead of gifts like make up and skincare that I love, I would love for you to join me in supporting People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
Because I love animals and I believe they deserve to be protected.
I love going to Sephora. I like to wear lip gloss and face masks, but I found out that many brands still test on animals. So now, when I go, I look for the little bunny symbol. It means cruelty free.
I love animals. I have two dogs: Mel is the mom, Feliz is her daughter. They are a family and they are part of my family.
Did you know that every year, over 100 million animals are used in testing around the world?
Animals feel pain just like we do. But they don’t have a choice.
The truth is, we don’t need to do this anymore. Today, scientists can test products using human cells in labs, and its safer and even works better.
Some brands are choosing a different way, being cruelty-free AND caring for the environment. Like using ingredients from nature that even save trees and help the Amazon, like Costa Brazil. My friend Francisco Costa the founder was the first person to support me in this fundraiser.
I don’t think beauty should hurt animals.
So next time you choose a product, think about what’s behind it. Look for the leaping bunny symbol.
Say No. They can’t.
Be their voice. With your choice.
Choose cruelty-free.
Because they don’t have a choice… but we do.
Beauty shouldn’t hurt!
Your donations can help PETA in many ways, including:
- Supporting campaigns that promote cruelty-free alternatives in beauty and clothing.
- Funding educational programs that raise awareness about animal rights and welfare.
