Hi,

Today marks the end of 25 years of teaching in primary schools.

I recently read that staff working for Lego receive a golden block worth thousands of pounds on such an occasion. But in education, such a milestone is not recognised by the DfE, nor by the local authority I work for, as over my career I have worked for two neighboring local authorities . At a time where many teachers are leaving the profession, and teachers often leave after 5 years, I do feel this is a milestone worth celebrating in some way.
