There are no words to describe the heartbreak when our Mom was called to Heaven at only 55 years old.

December 8th, she was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer and received a round of chemo and was discharged from the hospital only to return just a few days later in insurmountable pain.

It was a long week in the hospital. Without going into details, by day seven she had put herself on do not recessitate status. By the end of the of the next 24 hours, she was transferred to Kathy’s Hospice.

She passed away peacefully, Christmas Day in the morning.

She taught us kids to be strong, but being there for her last breath was by far the hardest thing we will ever do.

While we want to show strength, it becomes difficult in financial hardship. Mom didn’t have any savings and didn’t make much money. In order to celebrate her life and memorialize her properly, the financial responsibility has fallen on us.

If you know our Mom, you know she struggled asking for help. And let’s just say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree with that. But it came to the point that we want our mom to be celebrated.
