It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our mother, Mary Beretta, following the diagnoses of anaplastic thyroid carcinoma—an aggressive and rare illness that took her far too soon. We are devastated by this loss.

In the face of such an aggressive disease, Mary made the courageous decision to adjust her care to focus on comfort and symptom management rather than extreme measures that would only prolong her suffering.
