Nancy Birkes is the kind of matriarch that everyone who knew her just called her "Mama." Mama Birkes loved her family, loved football, and loved making a difference in the world around her. Her kitchen was always open, and she loved to cook for those she loved.

She had been battling the effects of lung fibroids and diminished lung capacity since the early fall. After multiple hospitalizations, she sadly lost her battle on Jan 3rd, 2026.

Her son Tyler is asking the community for help with her final expenses. His plan is to do a cremation and to spread her ashes in one of her favorite places.
