Lou Guerrero, a lifelong resident of Washington County, Maryland, passed away last November after a brief illness.
Lou dedicated his life to hard work and building meaningful connections. Over the years, he worked in car and furniture sales, as a route salesman, and spent more than two decades with Tristate Electronics. He was widely respected for his strong work ethic and the genuine relationships he formed with colleagues and customers alike.
A passionate sports fan, Lou enjoyed attending games at every level—from Legion baseball to high school, college, and professional events. He had the opportunity to experience some of the nation’s biggest sporting events, including the U.S. Open Tennis Championships, the Super Bowl, and the World Series. He proudly supported his favorite teams: the Orioles, Ravens, and Terrapins. His love for the Orioles even inspired the names of his two cats, Eddie and Murray.
Lou was also an accomplished golfer who treasured the camaraderie of the game. Some of his happiest moments were spent on the course with friends and family, especially with his cherished foursome, “3 Seniors and a Chick.”
As a lifetime member of the Sons of the American Legion (SAL), Lou gave generously of his time and energy. He was deeply involved in supporting the Legion’s baseball team and veterans outreach efforts, including Toys for Tots and visits to the VA Hospital.
It has been said that Lou was one of the wealthiest men in the county—not in material possessions, but in the number of friends who loved and cared for him.
