Celebrating Lola

My Lola (grandmother) was a very special person. She had the biggest heart and did whatever she had to do to take care of her family. She showed us all that no matter the circumstance, you can get through anything with prayer. She beat cancer and even through her treatments she was able to share her smile and sense of humor with all those around her. She recently went back to the Philippines on vacation (so we thought) and decided to stay. Her health was declining and on March 16, 2017, she had a stroke that took her from us. She has now been reunited with her Lord and savior and is going to be taking care of us from heaven from now on.

My mom and I would like to go to the Philippines to pay our respects and be with our family. Each round trip ticket is about $1,500+. We are also trying to contribute the costs of the funeral so that Lola can get the celebration that she deserves. Anything that you can donate will be an enormous help to my family. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the prayers and messages that I have received from friends and other family members.
