Celebrating Life - One Bucket at a Time

Hello Friends and Family!
In December 2018, Tina was admitted to the hospital and was advised that she had been diagnosed with Colon Cancer.
Surgery was scheduled and while the doctors were able to remove all of it from her colon and we then soon found out that it had already metastasized to her lymph nodes and liver. She immediately began chemo and completed a total of 18 treatments.
On May 8th, she had her Chemo Graduation and got to ring the bell!
On May 21st, she had a CT of her abdomen. They immediately also performed a CT of her chest and pelvis. We found this to be a bit odd, but nothing about cancer is ever normal.
Then on May 28th we learned that she has a new 6 cm spot on her liver and the cancer has spread to her lungs.
There is no surgery, chemo or radiation options available that could help the outcome of this situation. With this news in mind, we did discuss other options.
At this time, her Oncologist is working with his office staff to see if we can get Tina approved for immuno-therapy (insurance complications) and or a referral to Siteman Cancer Center to see if a different Oncologist can offer any guidance. If neither of these options work out, we are looking at only weeks or months to enjoy her presence.
At this time, our family is asking for your help in fulfilling her bucket list. First up will be a trip to Disney and a visit to the Ocean. Following that, we will be looking to do a number of things locally and it would be wonderful for you to participate in the celebration.
We understand that this is a lot to absorb and many of you will experience a lot of emotion in reading this. If anyone would like to talk, please feel free to reach out to me and I can try to answer any questions you may have.
In the meantime, please keep Tina and Andy in your thoughts as they need all the support they can get.
