Our beloved mother, Leticia Tubig, passed away peacefully this Easter Sunday, ending her years-long battle with kidney disease. She was 74 years old and survived by a son, daughter, and two grandchildren.
Letty emigrated from the Philippines to the United States in the late 60s, the eldest daughter of a naturalized soldier who fought on the side of the allies in WW2. Later, she would rent a one-bedroom apartment in San Francisco to house her parents and seven siblings. Letty was a trailblazer in the family in many ways, embracing pop culture, fashion, and technology. She was also a devoted mother, filling the home with toys, books, and delicious homemade meals.
We welcome donations to help cover funeral costs and fund an after-burial get-together for family and friends at a nearby park.
