It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Kaci Jean Ronai. While we may never fully understand this loss, we want to celebrate the light, joy, and love she brought into our hearts and into the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Kaci was born with Down Syndrome and spent the first month of her life in the NICU. From the beginning, she showed us what true strength looks like - she was our tiny warrior.
Her greatest happiness was found in the simple and beautiful moments spent with her family. Kaci loved being held close by her mom, Kristin, gently rocked by her dad, Jared, and rolling on the floor with her older siblings, Kyler, Kamryn, and Kolton. She was completely adored and deeply loved.
Although her time with us was far too short, it was filled with a lifetime’s worth of love. We will forever cherish the time we had with her and will hold onto the memories of her in our hearts.
In honor of Kaci’s life, we hope to turn our love for her into something that continues to give. We are raising funds for the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio (DSACO), which provided meaningful support and community to Jared and Kristin, as well as the NICU at St. Ann’s hospital, whose team lovingly cared for Kaci in her earliest days.
If you feel called to give, we thank you and greatly appreciate your support for DSACO and the NICU. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page or keeping our family in your prayers means more than we can express.
Thank you for surrounding our family with love during this incredibly difficult time. We will continue to honor Kaci by living with the same love and light she beautifully showed the world.
With gratitude,
The Ronai and Daugherty Families
