Joshua was a beloved staple in the world of folk musical arts and Jujitzu, touching countless lives in Yakima, WA and beyond. He played alongside many local artists, supported others through his love of collecting vinyls, and was a constant presence at community shows. Joshua’s love for his community was only matched by his devotion to his family. He is survived by a niece who meant the world to him, a twin brother he cherished deeply, and a father and half-sister with whom he maintained loving connections despite the miles between them. Joshua was open about his struggles with mental illness and found strength in his faith, always praising the glory of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For him, faith and family were everything.
After an arduous and expensive battle with cancer at such a young age, our family did everything we could to support Joshua within our means. Now, we are reaching out to our community for help to cover the costs at the funeral home and to organize a celebration of life that truly reflects the beautiful, faith-filled life Joshua lived. Your support will help us honor his memory and give him the farewell he deserves.
In ways big and small, the community has already done so much to honor Josh. We humbly ask, if you are able to give, for assistance to put together a farewell worthy of the man we all loved, who selflessly blessed all of our lives.
