Joanne Gutknecht, age 60, unexpectedly passed away on September 7, 2025, in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Born on July 8, 1965, Joanne lived her life filled with passion, love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and anyone in need.

Her greatest joy was her family—her husband and soulmate Bruce, her daughter Angie and son-in-law Ben, her son Nick and daughter-in-law Aly, and her cherished grandsons Wesley and William. Joanne’s love for her family, especially her grandchildren, was the heart of her world, and she lifted all of us up with her warmth and encouragement. Joanne’s kindness and energy touched everyone she met.

She was a proud member of CrossFit Osiris, where the community became an extension of her family. The gym’s owner is our cousin, making it truly both family and community. Joanne was always ready to help anyone, without judgment, and her generosity and support left a lasting impact on so many lives. She found peace and happiness fishing on the lake, and her laughter and spirit brightened every room.

We are raising funds to help cover the unexpected costs of Joanne’s cremation, urn, and celebration of life, which will be held on September 28 from 2-5 pm at the Osseo American Legion in Osseo, MN. These unexpected expenses have been difficult for our family, and any support will help ease the burden during this time.
