On September 9th, 2021, our family lost Jo'an Kleckner, mother, grandmother and best friend.
Jo'an was born March 11th, 1939 in Indiana. When she was 19 years old, she moved to San Francisco, California where dedicated her life to United Airlines as an aircraft mechanic, ran her own radio show and worked for the Calvary chapel church.
Jo'an and I met 20 years ago in San Francisco at the church. At that time she took me in, and later legally adopted me. In 2005 we moved to Portland, Oregon where we became inseparable. We took in my nephews, Carlos, Brian, Brandon and Mia and Jo'an become a grandmother. She gave unconditional love and support to me and my family. In 2014, her health started to decline and in 2017 Jo'an was diagnosed with Alzheimers and dementia.
Jo'an Kleckner passed away in September 9th, 2021 after having 2 brain strokes. She is survived by her son, Jorge Kleckner, and her grandchildren, Carlos, Brian, Brandon and Mia, and her Nieces, Leah and Miriam.
RIP Jo'an,
We Love You
