People often say they can’t find the words to talk about a loved one that’s passed on. Unfortunately for me, I’m just like my Dad & I’ve got too many words.

On Thursday May 29th, Jim Hall passed away. He lived a full life until the very end. He loved fiercely, fought hard & still found ways to crack a joke to make others smile all while he was in pain. Nevertheless, he went down swinging like the true baseball lover he was.

While our family will never be physically whole again, we can find peace in knowing that he is still with us & no longer in pain. I know that I will have him with me at every ball game, beach sunset, hardship & milestone yet to come. If there’s one thing he made sure to remind me of, it was to keep living my life.

One of my Dad’s last requests was to go to a Padres game on his birthday with his family. As we navigate the next difficult steps, in lieu of flowers, we are open to donations for memorial expenses & of course a few tickets to the game, any remaining funds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. A Celebration of Life is being planned and details will be shared soon.
