Jerry Leach was more than just the bassist for Not Leaving Sober—he was the heart and soul of our band, and a true blessing to so many in our community of friends, family and fans. Jerry was a son, a brother, a boyfriend as well as an uncle to be. His passion for music was matched only by his generosity; he helped countless musicians along their journeys, with musical contributions, performances, encouragement. Off stage, Jerry was known for his love of skateboarding and his talent for rebuilding and working on guitars. His twisted sense of humor and warm presence were true indicators that he was as real of a down-to-earth human as you've ever met. Whether he was making people laugh offstage or lighting up the room with his music, Jerry had a way of bringing people together and making life a little brighter.

Jerry’s sudden passing has left a huge hole in our hearts and in the lives of everyone who knew him. His family is now facing the difficult task of planning a celebration of his life—a chance for all of us to come together, share memories, and honor the incredible person he was. This was unexpected, and as a result, his family could use a little help from us all to ease their minds during this tough time. The funds raised will help them cover the cost of a celebration of Jerry's life.
