Celebrating Jaye Dee
Donation protected
On Sunday, April 19, 2020, our mother, Jayedee Halpin Dewitt, passed away in her sleep during the quiet hours of the early morning. She had not been sick, but rather our belief is that after all the sorrow she had experienced, she was simply tired and ready to go home.
While we all have different feelings about life after death, we are all finding comfort in the thought that our mother was received joyously and with open arms by our dad, brothers and baby sister.
Her final wishes were that she be cremated. Our family will do a small celebration of life in Florida, in line with what she has asked. As of now we're just trying to navigate through all the emotions and bumps that come when we lose someone we love.
Thank you so much for loving us and loving her. During these first few days without our mom, friends and family have asked how they can help. While no service will be held here in South Carolina, if you would like to contribute to carrying out our mom's final wishes, we would be grateful.
