This is already a tragic situation. This young couple lost their 2-month-old son yesterday. Jaxson Carson Porter was the son of Halei Porter and Isiah English and the grandchild of Tammy Prevatte. He brought the whole neighborhood smiles and laughter, even on days when nothing else would do it. These young parents, only 17 and 20, are just starting out. They never got a fighting chance and have now lost more than any words can say. They both worked and were saving to get a place of their own, and just wanted to give Jaxson more than they were. Anything you can help with is appreciated. It was just yesterday, on 8/5/26, in Tarheel, NC, and we are still processing everything. All the arrangements are still up in the air right now.
