Celebrating Irena’s Life Through Love, Art & Compassion

Hi, my name is Ainsley, and I'm writing this with a heavy heart.

My beautiful lifetime friend and partner, Irena Ioannidou, passed away suddenly. Her loss has left a space in my life that words can’t fully describe. Irena was so many things—an incredibly talented artist, writer, and filmmaker, but more than that, she was a light. She saw the world through a creative and compassionate lens, and she shared that beauty with everyone lucky enough to know her.

Irena had a deep love for the arts. Creating wasn’t just something she did—it was who she was. Whether through Writing, Graphic Design or Filmmaking, she had a way of telling stories that made you feel present. She also had a huge heart for animals, especially cats. They brought her so much joy, and she had a special gift for connecting with them.

She found joy in the little things and shared that joy freely. I feel so lucky to have loved her and been loved by her.

This GoFundMe is to help with the unexpected costs I’m facing during this time and to create a meaningful tribute to Irena’s life and legacy. As a way to honor her love for animals, 10% of the donations will be given to our local animal shelter and Food charity, causes that was very close to her heart.
