Celebrating Ian’s life

On 23rd November 2022 our beloved Ian passed away after a long battle against respiratory illnesses. Ian was a much loved & cherished husband, father, father in law, grandfather, brother, uncle & friend. He touched the lives of many people & brightened every room he entered with his charismatic charm & larger than life personality. Ian had the ability to brighten & enrich anyone’s day with his wicked sense of humour & endless supply of Dad jokes.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 36 years Sandi, children Matthew, Stephen (husband to Carrissa) & Tamara (Wife to Avery) and grandchildren Madison, Hunter & Jade, as well as his siblings, nieces & nephews & many friends.
We are devastated by the loss of this wonderful larger than life man and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Ian the memorial he wanted & deserves to honour his beautiful memory & say our last goodbyes.
We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of Ian’s funeral & hospital bills. We need to raise $3000 by 9th Dec in order to be able to afford the funeral director for his service on 13th Dec. We have received the funeral assistance government funding but it only allows us to have a very limited cremation without a memorial service & extras that Ian wanted (funeral service, flowers, memorial video & music) for “one last hurrah”.
Ian wanted his funeral to be a lighthearted & vibrant celebration of his wonderful life. We want nothing more than to honour his wishes for the funeral he desired & that we think he deserves. How the funds will be used: $3000 will be used to cover the cost of his funeral expenses that aren’t covered by the government funeral assistance.
We greatly appreciate any help anyone is willing & able to offer us to help celebrate Ian’s amazing & colourful life.
