Our hearts are broken as we share the devastating loss of our sweet Elise Noelle Ortiz, who was 5 years old. In just a few days, what seemed like an ordinary illness became something far more serious. Elise was flown to a children's hospital, where a remarkable team did everything they could in an effort to keep her here on earth.
Elise was purity and goodness. Described by so many as “sunshine and rainbows.” She was funny, kind, loving, and full of more energy and light than any room could contain. She loved to learn, loved to play, and had a way of making everyone around her feel her joy.
She loved playing with her 4 siblings, Wes, Connor, Charlotte, & Colin. She loved dancing and singing, and Bluey! She was curious, and smart, and had the memory of an elephant.
Her humor knew no bounds, and she was constantly surprising us with her delightful silliness. She wanted to play the cello like her older sister Charlotte, and learn parkour like her older brother Connor. When she grew up she wanted to be a Doctor….. and a kitty.
The Ortiz’s are the type of family who openly love and help all of those around them. They consistently offer their time, talents, friendship and resources to help lift others. They have aided in countless adventures, service, education and community building everywhere they go. They have always been avid travelers, taking their children around the world and making friends in the process. As a result the Ortiz family is loved far and wide.
As her parents and siblings face unimaginable grief, we hope to surround them with practical support and care in the difficult days ahead and help ease the overwhelming financial burden this tragedy has brought.
Donations will help cover funeral and medical expenses, time away from work, counseling support, and other needs as the family navigates this heartbreaking loss.
More than anything, we want to remind them that they are not carrying this burden alone. They are deeply loved and supported by family, friends, and a community holding space for them through the days ahead. Your gift of any size will mean so much to them.
Please also consider sharing their story to help us reach as many helping hands as possible.
May we all take a moment to slow down, look around, and cherish the precious lives around us each day.
