We are all heartbroken over the passing of Edward Fritsch, and unprepared for the expense of cremation, Celebration of Life, and the ensuing loss of income. We want to give Ed the honor he deserves, and help Maureen adjust to life without him, after 49+ years together. When you think of Eddy, I know you will smile—or maybe even laugh out loud—remembering some joke or funny story he may have told you. Perhaps a song will get stuck in your head because of a memory of Ed playing his drums and singing, or putting in his order: “Computer (Alexa), play Mustang Sally!” https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgxDHE4UToYpQULgucDUcOA
Ed was everyone’s favorite Uncle, and favorite “Dad” to all of Angela and Erica’s friends. He taught all the nephews to fish, and always had time to talk about whatever they were interested in. Wherever Ed was, Mo was not far away. They had a connection that is hard to explain and impossible to match. His passing leaves a deep void that will be felt by all who knew and loved him. If you’re one of those lucky ones, you know what I mean by that special connection that told you with certainty “That ol’ hippie really gets me!”
I know it’s hard to ask, and I also know—it’s easy to give--to honor someone we all cherish. And if you aren’t able to give, please share this—and raise a glass to Ed. Sláinte!
