Final Expenses for Diane Nieto
Our family is heartbroken to share that our beloved mother, Diane Nieto, passed away on Friday, December 5th, after a heart procedure that is often considered routine — but her body, after years of fighting, simply could not recover.
Diane was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved the Beatles, cheering on the Cardinals, and cozy movie nights with family. She was full of stories from a youth rich with adventure, and she remained a fighter through every challenge — including years of weekly, life-saving medical procedures for end-stage kidney and liver failure. Despite her health struggles, she always kept her spirit strong.
Because she lived on a very limited income and had no assets to help cover final expenses, our family is asking for support during this difficult time. Donations will go toward:
Funeral and memorial services on Saturday, December 13th
Maintaining her home while final decisions are made
Travel costs for me to return to Texas to assist my siblings in going through her life and handling her home and final needs.
Helping my sister Sara, who has cared for her full-time for years, while she seeks employment and transitions into covering household bills
I, Angel Salazar, am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my siblings. Many of you know that the last several years have brought heavy hardship for our family. I’m someone who always shows up, always tries to help others, and rarely asks for anything in return — but right now, we truly need it.
Our goal is to raise $5,000, and every contribution — no matter the size — makes a difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page or keeping our family in your prayers is just as appreciated.

As the Beatles remind us:
“In the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.”
Thank you for helping us honor Diane and give her and us the peace of mind to move forward in her absence. She will be deeply missed, and forever loved.
