Our beloved Perlia Bell and Alvin McClure have lost their dear brother Curtis McClure. It is with a heavy heart that we reach out to our community for support in celebrating his life and laying him to rest. Perlia wrote this to share:

"Curtis Dwayne McClure, was the youngest boy of six. Growing up between Alvin and Perlia gave him great joy, and never a dull moment. On the early morning of April 27th 2026, he was pronounced deceased at 5am. Curtis lived a life that left a lasting mark on everyone lucky enough to know him. Though he had no children of his own, he poured his love into his nieces and nephews, cherishing each of them deeply. He leaves behind two siblings Perlia and Alvin who both watched Curtis live his life on his terms which was happiness. He was incredibly smart, naturally charismatic, and had a way of making people feel seen and valued. Surrounded by the love of family, friends, and a supportive community, Curtis carried himself with a quiet strength that felt guided and protected by grace. He will be deeply missed; a true Portland legend whose memory will live on in the hearts of so many."
