Celebrating Claude Marceau

Claude Marceau was loved by many people, friends and family alike.  Sadly, he passed in April 2020 due to complications from surgery.  Because of the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, he was unable to have a proper funeral.  He did not have the virus but suffered its effects, nonetheless.

Once large gatherings are permitted to resume, Claude's family will give him a funeral with full military honors in Florence, South Carolina.  They will also host a Celebration of Life memorial for all his friends in the North Country and his family in Canada, in his hometown of nearly four decades, Chazy, New  York.

In lieu of flowers or other gifts, this GoFundMe has been set up to honor Claude.  Up to half of the funds from this campaign will go towards Claude's memorial celebration.  The remaining proceeds will be donated to the Chazy Lion's Club, in Claude's name, to support causes in need of funding in Chazy.

Claude was a longtime, active member of The American Legion, The VFW, The Lion's Club, and other civic organizations.  He could always be counted on to lend a hand, when it was needed.  Now, Claude's final act of giving will be to host a celebration for the town of Chazy, where a check will be presented to the Lion's Club.
