Our world was turned upside down when our beloved CJ was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma at just 25 years old in July 2024. What began as a simple pain in her shoulder quickly unfolded into the most challenging journey our family has ever faced. CJ bravely underwent chemotherapy and radiation for ten long months (July 2024 to May 2025). On May 5, 2025, she proudly rang the bell, celebrating a moment of complete remission, a moment we all prayed for. But just a week later, she began experiencing pain and numbness in her lower back and hip. On May 15, 2025, doctors delivered the heartbreaking news that her cancer had metastasized, spreading to her thoracic spine (mid-back), lumbar spine (lower back), and superficially to her brain. Even through all of this, CJ remained a brave, beautiful soul with an unshakable fighting spirit. She continued to smile, laugh, and inspire everyone she met, proving over and over again just how strong her spirit truly was. On November 3, 2025, our CJ gained her wings. Although our hearts are shattered, we take comfort in knowing she is finally free from pain, surrounded by peace and love. Her light will never fade, and her impact will live on in everyone lucky enough to have known her.
