On Thursday, April 12, 2018 Charles Geheren’s life ended peacefully surrounded by family.
Charlie passed on the morning of his 13th birthday. This kid defied all expectations since birth.
As his oldest brother, this boy was my guiding force. He was a miracle to be born. He showed me what happiness looks like. He showed me how to fight. He showed me resilience. He never judged. He was pure human as anyone you could meet.
It’s so interesting how a little boy who can’t talk, has 95% brain damage and can’t communicate very much can be so influential to someone’s life. He will always guide my life.
I am forever changed because a little boy named Charles Geheren was in my life.
As many of you know, my family has had a very difficult few years. I'm trying to find ways to help out my family in anyway I can and one way is to ensure Charlie has the celebration of life that he deserves.
The money here will be used to assist in funeral & burial costs and outstanding medical finances.
The rest I will ensure is donated in Charlie's memory to a charity of my family's choosing. Right now is a tough time discussing, but there are so many options of places that have helped Charlie live his best life.
We are all so grateful for the support. To be honest, this is a very difficult task to publicly ask for this, but I don't want my parents to worry and more importantly I want Charlie to be honored how he deserves.
