Honoring the Life of “Champ”

On December 12, 2025, in Lafayette, Louisiana, I lost my father to liver cancer. As his only child, this loss is something I am still struggling to put into words.

My dad fought this disease for several years with quiet strength and courage. Under the guidance of hospice care, the difficult decision to discontinue medications was prompted & His health declined rapidly, and he passed surrounded by love.

To so many, he was known as “Champ” , a respected and popular boxing trainer who poured his heart into the sport and into the people he trained. He wasn’t just a coach; he was a mentor, motivator, and father figure to many. The impact he had on the community will never be forgotten.

To me, he was simply my dad ; my support, my protector, and my biggest champion.

I am asking for help to cover funeral and memorial expenses, along with remaining medical costs. As an only child, navigating this loss alone has been overwhelming, and any support would mean more than I can express.
