Celebrating Cathie's Life (Memorial Fund)
Donation protected
Catherine Alexander Northcutt
July 30, 1948 - April 16, 2019
Cathie has found eternal peace and love in God's Kingdom after an 18-month struggle with rapidly progressing dementia. Her gift to all who loved her and knew her was a huge heart full of love for so many, and because she loved God first, she was able to love others best.
Mom said in a draft of "her story":
"I love the life I've lived. There are precious footsteps all over the path of life. They are His. They indicate He has been there since breath one."
...and He was there to take her into His arms at her last breath.
She was able to touch and heal the lives of others with her gentle compassion, her smile, her light. And though she suffered through life as what she deemed "damaged goods", broken by abuse, addiction, physical pain and ultimately mental anguish, she grew stronger through recovery and her walk with God, always knowing one day she would be free and live in God's Glory.
As we join together to celebrate her life, and return the gifts she shared with all those who witnessed her light, the family is requesting financial support from her community to assist with:
Her "Celebration of Life", cremation costs, expenses for care-giving provided by her family in her final days and anticipated out-of-pocket medical expenses that are sure to be arriving by mail any day now.
I am organizing this campaign on behalf of my sisters and me, her daughters, Megan Mallow, Koy Murphy & Shawna Mouser (me), and her husband, Allen Northcutt.
We will be working together to use the funds for the needs listed above and will be making a donation of any funds exceeding our goals and needs to The Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer's and Neurodegenerative Disease. https://biggsinstitute.org/
We hope to see you when we all rejoice in the celebration of her life on May 11th @ 2PM. The details are here: https://www.facebook.com/events/513863909147080/ and in the body of the comments on this page.
Quoting mom, "Thank you Jesus for loving me. You pulled me out of the pit that had become my broken life. I was an orphan on the brink of death, in need of a savior and there you were. I struggle with human words to tell you how much I love you. I hope you know..."
I hope you know how much she loved us all.
Thank you kindly for your support and love!
Love,
Shawna
